Welcome to Neutral Ground Photography & Design!
My name is Hannah and I am a wedding and portrait photographer, graphic designer and watercolor artist based in Waco, TX. I am a creative at heart (is it obvious?) which is why I think I've landed on this path in my life. I have always admired heartfelt wedding photographs and always noticed sentimental (and pretty) paper items.
I have been photographing weddings for three years now and have been dabbling in the graphic design world for about five. I've always been a painter, though. When I was five, my parents let me pick out the colors that my walls would be (bright blue and hot pink) and I took it upon myself to ensure the painting was done to my standards. I love the delicateness that watercolors can bring into a home, wedding invitation suite or as a gift.
Essentially, my goal is to be your Swiss Army Knife for any of your creative or wedding needs.

Just in case you're not familiar with the term "neutral ground", here's a short story about why I chose the name for my business:
I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where jazz music is always playing and the streetcar can get you just about anywhere you want to go. The streetcars on Canal Street are on a specific piece of land that many would simply refer to as a median. In Louisiana, though, we call that the neutral ground.
Historically, the neutral ground was a term generally used for disputed territories between warring parties and neighborhoods. Its adoption for use as a description of the land separating the French and Americans in New Orleans was something of a joke, which eventually turned into the phrase we know and love today in New Orleans.
I wanted this business to serve as a representation of who I am. Everything that I am today is because of the little girl I was while growing up in southern Louisiana, who used to sit and watch as the parades rolled by the neutral ground.
